The Venue at Black Prong's Ultimate Wedding Weekend Experience Collection
Your wedding day is going to be a memory that you cherish for the rest of your life. It’s a time when your loved ones and closest friends come together in one place to celebrate you and your spouse. Many couples will have family and friends who live far away making a trip for the special day, some of whom they don’t get to see all that often. And if most of your guests are coming from out of town, why limit the wedding fun to just one day?
We want you to be able to spend time with your guests and not stress about your big day, which is why The Venue at Black Prong offers the ultimate wedding weekend experience collection! With a month of planning and wedding day coordination included in the collection, you will also have access to our full inventory of arbors, arches and décor!
For recently married Meghann Bratcher, this collection was the perfect choice for her and her groom. With Black Prong Equestrian Village’s Event Manager, Jana Carlisle, organizing their weekend all the way down to the flowers and vendors, Meghann was left stress-free leading up to the big day.
“Jana handled everything. I didn’t have to worry about anything at all,” said Meghann. “If I said ‘Hey I was thinking about this idea,’ she made it happen.”

With several types of lodging accommodations on-site, you and your guests can be all in one place, giving you the chance to spend more than just one evening together. This package also comes with three fully furnished cottages for you to use as a getting-ready space, your honeymoon suite or lodging for family.
With both the bride and groom’s families traveling from out of town, the plentiful accommodation options let their guests focus on celebrating rather than worrying about a long drive home after the day’s festivities concluded. “It felt really intimate because it was only our family that had this whole venue to ourselves. It felt very private and exclusive, like we were somebody. You get this feeling of like this is ours for the weekend,” said Meghann.
Our weekend experience collection includes everything listed in the previous collections leading up to it. To view what our various wedding collections encompass, click here!
The Ultimate Wedding Weekend Experience Timeline…
Day 1: Welcome Party
While your bridal party is at the ceremony rehearsal, there are plenty of things to do to keep your guests entertained. Once your guests have arrived and checked in to their lodging, they can spend the afternoon relaxing in the beach-entrance pool or take a trek on our bikes through the Goethe State Forest to soak up Florida’s natural beauty.
After the rehearsal has concluded, you can greet all of your guests during the welcome party! This welcome party can be in place of the traditional rehearsal dinner, or it can serve as the afterparty. On your wedding day, you don’t want to spend the entire reception greeting all of the attendees. Having a little welcome party gives you a chance to make introductions in a relaxed atmosphere while enjoying your favorite food and beverages.
After the festivities of day one, you and your guests will have a short trip back to the cottages to get some well-needed rest before the big day!
Day 2: The Big Day
While you and your bridal party are getting pampered and photo-ready, guests can get a tasty breakfast on-site and spend their morning taking advantage of all the amenities the property has to offer. If you choose to do a first look and take photos before your ceremony begins, our 90-acre facility has several stunning, picture-perfect places for the backdrop of your photos.
After saying “I Do” on our beautiful, stone-paved ceremony terrace, your guests can head onto our enclosed veranda for cocktail hour, enjoying hors d’oeurvres and beverages while the newlyweds ride off for a private moment alone or to snap a few more photos.
Our main pavilion is the perfect space for the reception dinner, providing seating for up to 150 people on our custom wooden tables and chair. After cutting the cake, head back out to the ceremony terrace and dance the night away under a blanket of stars and market lights!
After the reception concludes, you can keep the party going! You and your guests can sit around the fire and enjoy tasty s’mores and late-night snacks.
Day 3: The Farewell Brunch
After spending the night in your honeymoon suite, don’t jet off to get to your honeymoon just yet. Consider hosting a farewell brunch the next day. This is a relaxed way to wrap up the celebration, thank your guests and say your goodbyes. Be sure to keep check-out times and travel plans in mind!
For the Bracther’s, this ultimate wedding weekend experience collection was a perfect fit. It was a chance for her and her husband to spend three stress-free days with the ones they loved the most.
When asked if there was anything she would have done differently Meghann replied,
"I wouldn’t change a thing about that weekend. Spreading out the festivities over three days really drew out the value of the collection."
