Nestled on 90 acres within the Goethe State Forest, Black Prong is a distinctive private event venue that lets nature take center stage. With mossy oak trees, rustic pavilion, stone terrace, and the 90-acre equestrian property, Black Prong offers an atmosphere that no hotel ballroom or banquet hall can replicate. Whether you’re planning an intimate gathering of 20 or a larger celebration of 125, our flexible spaces and dedicated events team make it effortless.

We’re conveniently located between Gainesville and Ocala, just off US-27 in Bronson, FL, making Black Prong an easy destination for guests coming from across Levy, Alachua, Marion, and Citrus counties.

What’s Included In Your Private Event Package

Our private event packages are designed to take the stress out of planning. All catering is handled by our talented in-house culinary team (outside catering is not permitted, with the exception of specialty cakes and desserts). Our spaces include custom wooden tables and chairs, cocktail tables, audio/visual equipment, and ample free parking right next to the Main Pavilion. A dedicated events coordinator will work with you from inquiry to event day, ensuring every detail is exactly as you imagined.

And because Black Prong is a full resort, your guests have the option to extend the celebration by booking a cabin, cottage, or glamping site to make a full weekend of it.

Daytime Events- Prior to 3 PM

Enclosed Veranda & Stone Terrace | $1,000

  • 4-hour Facility Rental – 2hr prior to set up & 1hr breakdown.
  • Access to luxury restroom trailer
  • Venue includes:
    • 6 Metal Cocktail Tables (linens provided by customer) 
    • Custom Wooden Tables and Chairs on Veranda
    • Banquet Tables (plastic) /black linens and teak terrace chairs on Terrace
    • Over 50 guests, $10 per person

North Pavilion & Enclosed Veranda | $750

  • 3-hour Facility Rental – 2hr prior to set up & 1hr breakdown
  • Access to indoor restrooms
  • Venue includes:
    • 6 Metal Cocktail Tables (linens provided by customer) 
    • Our Custom Wooden Tables and Chairs
    • Over 50 guests, $10 per person
    • Use of the audio/visual equipment

Full Pavilion & Enclosed Veranda | $1,200

  • 4-hour Facility Rental- 2hr prior to set up & 1hr breakdown
  • Access to indoor restrooms
  • Venue includes:
    • 6 Metal Cocktail Tables (linens provided by customer)
    • Our Custom Wooden Tables and Chairs
      • A customized layout may incur additional fees
    • Use of the audio/visual equipment

Additional Notes:

  • All catering will be handled by our in-house team, with the exception of a specialty cake/dessert.
    • A cake cutting fee will apply, which includes white china plates, dessert forks, cocktail napkins.
  • Ample free parking adjacent to the Main Pavilion
  • Cash bar minimums apply
  • Customized layouts may incur an additional fee
  • $200/hour for additional hours
  • Fireplaces lit – weather permitting
  • Special Weekday Pricing Available for Tuesday or Wednesday Events
