The Garde Manger (Pantry Station) at Black Prong Whiskey Bar & Grill should be a high-energy and self-motivated individual who works well in a team environment and has a desire to learn new skills and grow. This position requires both discretion and candor, exercising good judgment when communicating with others including employees. This is a full-time position that is responsible for prepping and serving all fresh menu ingredients for the daily operations. The position entails preparing, cooking, and organizing food products and organizing kitchen wares. The position will also assist in the preparation of all upcoming Black Prong Catering food-related projects and will report directly to the Executive Chef and Sous Chef.

Job Responsibilities
- Preparing all dinner salads and starters
- Building charcuterie and cheese boards
- Preparing desserts that do not require baking
- Portioning fresh fruit for breakfast and events
- Making dressings, aioli, and cold sauces
- Preparing sandwich and picnic baskets for guests
- Assisting with banquet platters and event displays
- Ensuring proper labeling, dating, rotation, and food safety
- Preparing all dinner salads and starters

Job Qualifications
- 1-3 years working in a professional kitchen
- 1 year of catering & banquet experience preferred, but not necessary
- Serve Safe Certificate Preferred
- Basic to Moderate knowledge of different recipes and styles of food production
- Ability to communicate clearly with fellow workers and guests
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to produce delicious food on tight deadlines
- Strong multitasking and organizational skills
- Good understanding of ingredients, recipes, kitchen safety, and hygiene
- Passionate about culinary arts and creative cooking is helpful
- Familiar with general kitchen equipment and appliances
- Able to follow instructions accurately and efficiently
- Ability to read and follow cooking directions
- Must be organized and self-motivated
- Able to perform well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Physically able to stand and move around for long periods of time
