The Events & Programming Manager is a hands-on, highly organized, guest-focused professional responsible for managing public programming, private events, and multi-day retreats at Black Prong Equestrian Village.

This role blends event production, venue management, hospitality coordination, and on-site execution. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, is calm under pressure, and loves bringing memorable experiences to life.

  • Plan, manage, and execute a year-round events calendar, including:
    o Live music, comedy, tastings, and recurring public events
    o Weddings, receptions, and private celebrations
    o Multi-day wellness retreats and special programs
    o Equine and nature clinics and program series
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, performers, retreat leaders, and vendors
  • Lead on-site event execution, including setup, guest flow, vendor coordination, and breakdown
  • Coordinate with Operations, Food & Beverage, Guest Relations, and Marketing teams
  • Manage entertainers, vendors, contracts, timelines, and logistics
  • Conduct site tours and convert event inquiries into bookings
  • Support event pricing, job costing, deposits, and payment timelines
  • Upsell food & beverage, amenities, AV, and experience enhancements
  • Maintain strong client relationships before, during, and after events
  • Help develop event SOPs, hospitality standards, and staff training materials
  • Work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by the event schedule

  • 3–5 years of experience in event management, hospitality, venue operations, or live event production
  • Experience managing both public events and private functions
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills
  • Confident communicator and natural relationship builder
  • Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving instincts
  • Comfortable being the on-site lead during live events
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, Event Temple, Social Tables and Mews
  • Hospitality-forward mindset with a passion for guest experience
  • A creative visionary with an exceptional eye for design, style, and detail. Skilled at transforming ideas into beautifully curated events, bringing each client’s vision to life through creativity, thoughtful design, and flawless execution.

Black Prong Equestrian Village is a destination venue blending hospitality, entertainment, and community.
