Fall in Florida may look a little different, but there are still plenty of signs that a new season has arrived. The summer rains begin to ease, mornings become a little cooler, and with school back in full swing, familiar routines return. It’s a welcome time of year to spend more time outdoors and gather with family and friends.
At Black Prong, fall brings its own traditions, with seasonal carriage rides, Thanksgiving around the table, and the beginning of holiday celebrations.
A New Way to Experience Fall
This fall, experience Black Prong from a horse-drawn carriage with seasonal rides offered on select dates.
Our Halloween Carriage Rides, offered October 22–23 and October 29–31, add a little Halloween fun to an evening at Black Prong. Bring the family, plan a fall date night, or enjoy the ride with visiting friends.
After Halloween, Fall Carriage Rides continue the experience as we get closer to Thanksgiving. It’s a chance to slow down, enjoy the outdoors, and take in the property from a different perspective.
Dates and seating for our seasonal carriage rides are limited, and advance reservations are recommended.
Gather for a Good Cause
Fall is also a season for coming together and giving back. This October and November, our Nights of Giving at the Whiskey Bar & Grill offer two opportunities to enjoy an evening out while supporting organizations making a difference in our community.
On October 15 from 4–9 p.m., we’ll welcome Tri-County Community Resources, Inc. for a Night of Giving. The organization serves residents of Dixie, Gilchrist, and Levy counties by connecting individuals and families with important resources and support.
Then, on November 12 from 4–9 p.m., our Night of Giving will benefit Pieces of Honor, a veteran-focused nonprofit dedicated to combating isolation and building meaningful connections with veterans throughout Central Florida.
For each Night of Giving, Black Prong will donate $1,000 plus 25% of the evening’s Bar & Grill sales to the featured organization.
Join us for dinner, spend time with friends and neighbors, and help support the people and organizations that strengthen our community. Table reservations are encouraged.

Thanksgiving at Black Prong
Thanksgiving is about gathering together, and we look forward to welcoming families and friends to celebrate around our table.
Our Thanksgiving Buffet lets you enjoy the traditions of a holiday meal while spending a little less time in the kitchen and a little more time with the people around you. Whether Black Prong is already part of your Thanksgiving tradition or you’re joining us for the first time, we look forward to celebrating with you.
Reservations are required for the Thanksgiving Buffet, so be sure to reserve your table in advance.
Looking Ahead to the Holidays
Fall also marks the beginning of the holiday gathering season. If you’re planning a company holiday party, family celebration, church gathering, or end-of-year get-together, now is a great time to begin making plans.
From dinner at the restaurant to private spaces for larger celebrations, Black Prong offers several ways to bring people together. Our team can help you find an option that fits your gathering and take care of the details so you can enjoy the occasion alongside your guests.
Planning early also comes with a little something extra. Holiday events booked by November 1 receive 10% off the room rental fee. It’s the perfect opportunity to get your celebration on the calendar before the holiday season gets into full swing.
Fall in Florida may not bring the dramatic changing leaves found farther north, but it has a character all its own. Cooler mornings, evenings outdoors, horses, good food, and time spent together are all signs that the season has arrived at Black Prong.
We hope you’ll join us and make Black Prong part of your fall traditions.
