Hit the Springs
Poe Springs is one of many springs along the Santa Fe River in High Springs, FL. This spring is turquoise in color compared to the deep blue color of the nearby Gilchrist Blue Springs but is just as refreshing to take a dip.
Walk across the 800ft boardwalk through the cypress at Manatee Springs State Park to view this first-magnitude spring and hopefully spot some manatees in the winter months. Take a dip in the water to cool off during the warmer summer months.
Zip Line through the Canyons
If you have never been to The Canyons Zip Line and Adventure Park, it is truly astounding! Located in Ocala is the state’s highest, longest, and fastest zip line that takes you soaring 1,150ft high across a vast spring-fed lake.
Pool Party
If you are lucky enough to have your own pool, then this is a great at-home activity, but for those who are not so blessed, you can host your pool party at Black Prong Equestrian Village where you can relax in the beach entrance pool and grab a drink from the tiki bar on the weekends!
Have a Beach Day
Fort Island Beach is a small beach on the gulf coast in Crystal River. With lovely sunset views, picnic tables, restrooms and a long pier to walk out and spot wildlife, this local favorite is a great spot for a quick beach trip.
On the opposite coast, Crescent Beach is a popular destination for beachgoers in the St. Augustine area. Located right off the historic A1A, the area has plenty of shops and restaurants and an old Florida feel.
