2 Bedroom Cottages
Looking for a perfect getaway that accommodates the entire family? Starting December 2024, Black Prong is excited to introduce our newly renovated 2-bedroom cottages, ideal for guests seeking more space and comfort. Two of our cottages are being expanded to include a second bedroom and bathroom while retaining two stalls and the climate-controlled tack room.
Each 2-bedroom cottage features modern amenities, including a fully equipped kitchen, cozy living area, and private outdoor space, allowing you to experience the beauty of Black Prong in complete comfort. You’ll have all the conveniences you need to enjoy your stay, plus the charm and tranquility that Black Prong is known for.
Golf Carts for Guests
Beginning in late fall 2024, Black Prong will enhance the guest experience by providing each accommodation with its own electric golf cart or utility vehicle. This initiative aims to make navigating the property both convenient and environmentally friendly. In addition to the convenience and environmental benefits, this change is driven by a focus on safety and preserving guests’ immersion in nature. By offering these electric vehicles, Black Prong underscores its commitment to sustainability and reducing its carbon footprint, while also ensuring that guests can enjoy a seamless and enjoyable stay.
We've Gone Solar!
We’re excited to announce that Black Prong has taken another step toward sustainability with the completion of our new solar pool heating system.
Our state-of-the-art, 4,000 square foot Heliocol solar pool heating system will keep our pool at a comfortable 80 degrees—on all but the coldest days—without relying on fossil fuels for over 290 days a year.
This green initiative isn’t just about comfort; it’s about making a positive impact. By harnessing the power of the sun, Black Prong will save an estimated $1 million over the system’s lifespan. Even more impressively, we’ll offset 3,991,290 pounds of CO2, which is equivalent to planting 14,745 trees.

Trail Riding
We are so excited to announce the launch of the newest Black Prong venture: Black Prong Adventures! Black Prong Adventures will hit the ground running by introducing trail riding in the Goethe State Forest this fall. Leading this exciting initiative is Emily, our enthusiastic and experienced trail manager and naturalist. Emily has a degree in biology and a passion for nature and ecology, in addition to years of experience leading group trail rides.
