While Airstream, Inc. doesn’t offer options to stay overnight in their models before purchasing, you can spend the night in an Airstream at a campground to test out the lifestyle. In central Florida, nestled in the Goethe State Forest, Black Prong Equestrian Village (Black Prong) offers two Airstream trailers for short and long-term stays. While there are several Airstream travel trailer models, Black Prong books the Flying Cloud and the Bambi models where visitors can experience the charm of Aistream living.
These models are perfect for an individual or a couple looking for a cozy stay, or can accommodate families of four.
Both Airstreams include a dedicated sleeping space that fits two comfortably, a kitchen with all the essentials, an onboard restroom, shower, alternative sleeping spaces, and a dinette area. At 28ft, the Flying Cloud is the larger of the two and offers a bit more living space. The Bambi is more compact at 22ft long and is expertly designed for maximum efficiency.
The Flying Cloud
The Flying Cloud model was first released in 1949 and was reintroduced in 2009, with the widest set of floorplan options Airstream offered. The Flying Cloud floorplan at Black Prong features a rear queen bed, galley kitchen that includes stove, oven, microwave, fridge, and pantry, bathroom with shower, dinette that can fold to be a sleeping area, as well as a pullout couch for additional sleeping space.
The Bambi
The Bambi was originally the nickname of all the single axel Airstreams, but in 2019 Bambi became its own family.
